Arrival → Tarangire region

Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport, meet your safari guide and travel to the Tarangire region. Settle into camp before the safari days ahead.

Tarangire National Park

A full day of game drives among Tarangire’s baobab landscapes, with a packed lunch in the park. Look out for wildlife such as elephants, zebras and lions; sightings depend on nature.

Ngorongoro highlands → Serengeti

Travel through the Ngorongoro highlands into the Serengeti. Your first afternoon game drive introduces its open landscapes before dinner and an overnight stay in camp.

Serengeti → Karatu

Enjoy a morning game drive in the Serengeti, then travel towards Karatu near the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. A packed lunch accompanies the journey.

Ngorongoro → Arusha → Zanzibar

After breakfast, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive and a packed lunch on the crater floor. In the afternoon, transfer to Arusha Airport for the planned onward flight to Zanzibar. Flight timing and the island stay are arranged separately.

The route continues from Arusha Airport towards Zanzibar. Flight timing and fares, accommodation and the length of your island stay are agreed personally.

Four days in Tanzania: northern Serengeti, Lake Natron and waterfalls. In September and October, look out for the migration and possible river crossings before returning to camp. Wildlife sightings and crossings cannot be guaranteed.
